What to Wear?

Yay, a post! Blogging is so 2011 anyway. Isn't it funny how sometimes you feel obligated to technology? Hopefully I will keep posting outfit pictures and that way I'll keep up on my blog a little and it will indirectly motivate me to post other more worthwhile things. I saw a blog on Pinterest where a girl posts pictures of what she wears every day. That's a little too much and unless you have a bottomless pit of clothes, is bound to get boring. So I'll just post when I think the style level is high enough or I got something new! So probably won't have very many postings!! Haha just kidding.
Speaking of new things, last Saturday sweets and I were at Target and he needed new shoes so miracle of miracles he found some grey canvas slip ons he wanted to buy. (he very rarely buys anything, clothing-wise especially, for himself so I'm always happy when he treats himself - he deserves it!) Of course I had to do a quick sweep of the shoe section myself, even though Target shoes normally don't do anything for me, and my eyes alighted on a pair of emerald green espadrille wedges:

You know that moment when you see something, and you just know...? However, I didn't freak out, I calmly tried them on and instantly loved the way they fit and looked. I didn't get my hopes up because I didn't think we should spend the money, but on our way out B said to get them, even though the 4 inch heel makes me a little taller than him! He really is the best. Anyway so of course I wanted to wear them the next day - Sundays are my dressiest day because of church so when we got home I looked in my closet for something that would match. Didn't see anything really good but then remembered this navy floral dress that I had gotten my sister to sew lace on the hem a while ago. I ended up not liking how it looked and had tried to rip off the lace myself but stopped because I was accidentally ripping the dress in the process. I quickly looked up an alterations place nearby and long story short took it and a couple other dresses that needed some work done and got it back just in time before they closed! Here is the finished product:
(see above, the pictures wouldn't move to the right place)
Dress: Downeast - local chain that sells knee-length dresses, once in a while they have a cute one
Shoes: Target
Necklace: Forever 21 - I'm not big on jewelry but Forever 21 is where I've gotten some nice necklaces, including the one I wore at my wedding.
--I'm excited to showcase my outfit for my brother's wedding coming up next Saturday!
Hint - it's mint!
